Day 1 :

Moshi – Machame Gate (1,800m) to Machame Camp (2,835m)

After breakfast in Moshi, drive to Machame Gate where registration and briefing take place. Begin your trek through a lush rainforest filled with wildlife and towering trees. Reach Machame Camp in the afternoon.
Trekking time: 5–7 hours | Distance: 11 km

Day 2 :

Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,750m)

Climb steadily up through moorland and heather zones, with rewarding views of Shira Plateau. The trail is steep but scenic, offering your first glimpse of Kibo Peak.

Day 3 :

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Cross the high-altitude desert towards Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Valley, surrounded by giant senecio plants.

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (3,995m)

Day 6 :

Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Begin your final push to the summit at midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, in time for a magnificent sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Mweka Camp for your last night on the mountain.

Day 7 :

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi
